  • Where is Virginia by the Sea located?
    Our property is a few metres before the Taxiarches monastery, on the right-hand side of the beach. Vehicle access ends at the entrance to the village, a few metres from the beach, where municipal car parks are available. The bus stop is also here, with regular daily services connecting Vathi to the rest of the island.

  • Yes. Sun loungers and parasols are available for our guests in the paved courtyard in front of the accommodation. This area is within the property’s courtyard.

  • At Virginia by the Sea, you will find two sea view apartments for up to 4 guests (one on the first floor and one on the ground floor), two ground-floor rooms overlooking the bay for up to 3 guests and one ground-floor Standard Room with a sea view from its courtyard. All are in Vathi, Sifnos, just a few steps from the sea, with everything you need for a comfortable stay.
  • The two sea view apartments and the two sea view rooms have private balconies overlooking the bay. The Standard Room has a sea view from its courtyard.

  • Amenities include an equipped kitchen with a fridge, microwave, Nespresso coffee machine, cooking utensils and a sandwich toaster.

  • Yes, the accommodation includes free Wi-Fi, air conditioning and a Smart TV. You can find the full list of amenities on the room and apartment pages.

  • A travel cot can be provided by prior arrangement. Please mention this when enquiring about a booking so we can confirm availability and the most suitable accommodation.

  • You can view rates and availability and complete your booking through our online booking system by selecting “Book online”. For further information or special requests, you can also contact us by phone, email or through the contact form.

  • Check-in is at 15:00 and check-out is at 11:00.

  • If you are planning to arrive late, please contact us before booking so we can confirm whether this is possible and explain the arrival procedure.

  • The Location page includes a map and approximate distances. Virginia by the sea is just before the small church of Taxiarchis. For arrival directions and parking information, please contact us before your trip.

  • Cancellation and Payment Policy

    For cancellations 60 days or more before arrival, the deposit is fully refunded.

    For cancellations 30 to 59 days before arrival, the deposit is retained and is non-refundable.

    For cancellations 1 to 29 days before arrival, the full booking amount must be paid.

    For bookings made close to the scheduled arrival date, payment, settlement and cancellation terms are agreed separately and communicated to the guest before the booking is confirmed.

    A booking is confirmed once the agreed deposit has been paid, or in accordance with the specific terms agreed for that booking.

  • Municipal car parks are available at the entrance to the village, where vehicle access ends. From there, you reach the rooms on foot. The car parks and bus stop are approximately 350 metres away.
  • The beach and village tavernas are within walking distance. Buses from the village entrance serve other parts of the island. A car offers greater independence.
  • Beach towels are provided for the sun loungers.
  • Housekeeping is provided daily. Sheets are changed every 4 days and towels every 2 days.
  • Please contact us about stays with children and infants and any applicable charges. A travel cot is available by prior arrangement and subject to confirmation of availability.
  • Pets are not allowed.
